Frances is an award-winning creative director and copywriter in New York City.

She has led social campaigns for global brands (Google, Clinique), crafted TVC for big names (Target, Starbucks), and joined Fortune 500 brands in-house (American Express, Verizon).

Frances is often sought out to bring strong, strategy-led creative solutions to projects, including helping 72&Sunny win United Airlines AOR.

Raised in Melbourne, Frances is a mixed Chinese-Australian who came to advertising after a few detours. She lived in London and Tokyo; worked at the legendary, Mushroom Music in Australia; and then switched to an ad career that’s spanned multiple countries.

When she’s not glued to her laptop, she’s busy skating with her kids in Brooklyn, creating ceramics, or heading out on two wheels.

Google with DEPT (NYC): Wrote and developed the Google Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month content.

Google for Small Business: Led the creative and messaging framework for a global toolkit and B2B launch.

Spotify: Naming and copy development for new AI-powered ‘DJ’ feature launched in 2023.

THINX period underwear: Worked closely with the Chief Growth Officer and creative team to help guide a TVC/social/digital campaign launching in 2022.

72andSunny, LA: Joined the incredible United Airlines pitch team with the agency being awarded global creative AOR.

Samsung: 2020 permalance role as the first CD/CW to help grow the Samsung in-house studio through Cheil. I led a small team to help showcase the digital capabilities of the studio.

BBDO NYC
: Global integrated campaign for TENA (#1 pads brand in Europe), Campbell's soups, Johnson & Johnson, Dove and Rogaine. Part of CD team that helped win a yet-to-announce beauty/health business.

American Express: A step outside the typical agency world to work directly with the US site agile marketing team. Over the 22-month contract, I introduced the new global tone of voice across the card products, helped guide brand strategy, developed creative for A/B testing, and led co-branded campaigns for Hilton, Away luggage, and Marriott.

Saatchi & Saatchi, Budapest/Ireland: Relaunched the US Pampers Rewards app with a new tone of voice and enhanced UX. I created a new set of copy and persona guidelines for European agencies and the Pamper marketing team.

Casper: Fast and furious contract to help the internal team concept on an OOH campaign for key markets.

VMLY&R: Developed an edu-tainment series with comedian, Jessica Williams, for JPMorgan Chase.

CircusMaximus, AdAge Small Agency of the Year: Collaborated with CCO, Ryan Kutscher, on JustWorks and pitches across wellness to hotel industries.

Vayner Media: Bud Light, Ritz crackers, Spotify, Trident, USA network & TruTV. Helped win Acuvue digital business.

As 360i's first Creative Director for the social creative department, I was responsible for elevating the work across 10+ brands, each with multiple social platforms. It was a huge undertaking that required working closely with CCO, Adam Kerj.

I built a team of 15+ creatives from associate to ACD level, transitioned client work from one-off posts to a campaign approach, and strategically helped brands relaunch/launch on new social platforms.
